Bread machine brownie

1 cup/110g all-purpose/plain white flour

1/2 cup/60g cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups/400-450g sugar

1 cup/225g softened or melted butter

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract – optional

METHOD

  1. Sift all the dry ingredients into a bowl.
  2. Add all the wet ingredients, and mix roughly.
  3. Pour this mixture into your bread machine and select the “cake” option (or “loaf” if “cake” isn’t there) – it should be around 1 hour and 50 minutes. If you have a crust colour option, select “Medium”.
  4. Leave to cool and set for a while when it’s done.
